Bahati is no stranger to cameras, having been featured on the BBC series Big Cat Diaries. After having the pleasure of spending nearly a full day with Bahati, watching her move a kill into the tree and protect it from a lioness on Eastern Sunday, we returned the next morning to the tree and nearby wateringhole. After a feeding and some water, Batahi climbed back into the tree for a cat-nap. Just before deciding to give her some privacy, I snapped this image on a full-spectrum converted camera with a 665nm infrared filter to create this image.
