C/2020 F3 – also named Comet NEOWISE – is a long period comet with a near-parabolic orbit discovered on March 27, 2020. In July of 2020, the comet was visible to the naked eye, becoming the brightest comet in the sky since the Hale-Bopp comet in 1997. I was able to make this image  as the comet appeared over a farmhouse in central Illinois as the sun was rising in the east. This beauty will return again in about 6,800 years.
